Careful: Delivery Boxes Across China Now Charging Fees
Effective today, (April 30th), failing to pick up your parcels from the smart delivery boxes within 12 hours, may result in incurring extra charges.
Hive Box announced they will launch a member service on April 30 today allowing members to use the boxes for 5 yuan per month or 12 per quarter while others will need to pay 0.5 yuan / each 12 hours after the initial 12 hours a parcel is left in the box (max 3 yuan per delivery). There is no charge during holidays, and users will be given 2 times free grace experiences.
Ge Ge Box only charges 1 yuan per day after the first 20 hours which are free; however, there is no maximum charge limit.
Sposter from China Post is free for the first 24 hours, then charges 1 yuan for the next 24 hours with a maximum of four to five yuan after 48 hours.
"An enterprise engaged in express delivery business shall deliver the express to the agreed receiving address, the addressee or the receiver designated by the addressee, and inform the addressee or the receiver of the acceptance in person.
